Basingstoke Scribblers

Scribblers Create Innovative Bytes, But Like Evenings Really Simple

R ead ‘rite, revise
I nvent, inspire, influence, innovate
B ooks, best sellers?
B iographies, backgrounds
L et’s learn, listen
E very earnest entry encouraged
R emember, research, revisit
S tyle short story sequence

It’s often said that everyone has a book in them. Have you got one in you? If you think you have, why don’t you drag yourself away from the box one evening and join a group of like minded individuals who think the same. SCRIBBLERS get together once a month to bounce ideas, share the bits and pieces they’ve written and most importantly, have some fun. We don’t take ourselves too seriously but we all have the same ambition, namely to write and if we get lucky, to have something published.

We don’t all write the same things so you’d mix with budding poets, children’s writers, story buffs and get to share whatever you write. To sum it up:

We like to write,
It’s done for fun,
It’s not all great,
But it does get done.

We’re quite a group,
So gird your loin,
Get off your chair,
And come and join.

You’ll like the cost,
No need to sweat,
It’s free of charge,
For what you get.

Come and try,
No one contends,
If nothing else,
You’ll make some friends.

P.S. You’ve probably guessed I’m not into poetry.
